Dr. Cynthia Dixon Download Bio
Dr. Dixon is an anointed prophetic voice who preaches with power, purpose, and passion for the Kingdom of God. She gave her life to the Lord at a very young age and accepted the call into ministry in December 1994. She is an associate at First Waughtown Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Dennis Bishop, Senior Pastor. She is a devoted wife and mother. She believes that her first ministry is her family. She is the wife of 31 years to Rev. Jarrod Dixon. She and her husband have 2 sons – Jarrod Dixon II, residing in Charlotte, NC, and Jiwann Dixon of Atlanta GA, who is married to her lovely daughter-in-law, Shade’.
Dr. Dixon has a heart for souls and her mission is true kingdom building. She is highly sought after and has traveled to many churches spreading the message of the gospel doing conferences, workshops, and various engagements. She holds the prestigious honor of being the first Woman to preach at the Forsyth County Deacon’s Union in Winston-Salem. She believes in mentoring others and helping them develop their God-given gifts and talents. She is anointed to see your deeper purpose and skilled at drawing it out.
One of her strongest anointing is in intercession. She is a devoted prayer warrior and skillful sniper in spirit. She believes that kingdom success only happens through the power of prayer.
Dr. Dixon is highly committed to the work of the ministry and has served faithfully in many capacities including: Youth Church Teacher, Missionary, Bible Study Instructor, and Vacation Bible school Instructor. With a deep passion for teaching, Dr. Dixon is committed to discipleship. God gave her a vision to birth a New Convert/New Ministry team at her home church that she led and developed for over 25 years. Through her nurture, care, and teaching of new converts, the ministry expanded and grew. During the pandemic, she launched a Virtual Sunday School Class to allow believers to stay connected to the Word. The class resulted in an overwhelming response and averages 50-70 students weekly.
Dr. Dixon has not only served faithfully in FWBC, but she is the founder and CEO of Cynthia Dixon Ministries, Inc. Ministries include: Faith Academy, DMI (Divine Moments of Inspiration), Jumpstart Monday Early 6:00am prayer, and other ministry assignments as the Holy Spirit leads.
Dr. Dixon is employed by the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system in the Career and Technical Education department. She received her undergraduate degree in 1990 from UNC Chapel-Hill with a degree in Business Administration, a Master’s in Divinity from Shaw University (2014), a Master’s in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University (2018), and Doctorate from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology (2021).
Most importantly, she loves the Lord with all her heart and soul and considers herself a humble servant of Jesus Christ. Her greatest passion is spending time in the presence of God. Her favorite scripture is “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Mathew 6:33.
